Gold (original)

Gold

I wrote this at the time when Lance Armstrong’s doping incidents all came to light and the subsequent many others who have been exposed. I think the song is sort of  a reflection on that, looking at the person who actually wins the gold despite knowing that they are not worthy of it.

Again a random one.

I hope you like it.

Dusting Off The Guitar

More Music

I got a bit of time to upload some new songs and other ones which I have had the chance to edit. Been a while since I have had the time to do so and it feels good to revisit songs which I haven’t listened to since I recorded them.

So here they are. Ranging from original songs (and an original song / story about the Irish Famine) and a few cover songs too.

I hope you like them.

Rumours (original song about the Irish Famine)

Last Night (acoustic cover of The Strokes song)

I’ll Meet You There One Day (original song for Palestine)

There Won’t Be Many Coming Home (Roy Orbison cover)

Hello (Adele Cover)

Rust (original)

Rivers Run Clear (original)

Junior Chills – I’ll Swim Again (original)

I have been fairly quiet on this for a long time. Haven’t posted much of anything. Decided to go back to university to study so that alone coupled with part time work and full time fatherhood I don’t really have time to bless myself 😀

But I have been still writing and playing away in the background. I had a bit of spare time this morning so thought I would rustle this one up quickly and fire it online.

Hope you like it!!

Singer / Songwriter Competition

Lifebelt

I decided to enter a singer / songwriter competition for the craic. Like various attempts in the past I will probably receive a juicy rejection email but sure it’s all for a bit of fun anyway.

I wrote and recorded a new song recently and it just so happened to be 3 minutes long which was a stipulation for the competition. So if you have 3 minutes to spare please have a listen to it.

You can vote also but only do so if you think its alright 🙂

The Sheep and the Wolf

Junior Chills – The Sheep and the Wolf
A short music video I decided to put together for my song “The Sheep and the Wolf” from the album “On The Lonesome Road”.

One hundred and seventy seven songs now wrote. Just need a few extra hours per day to sort them, practice them, record to a half decent quality and then upload via a blog post on here and social media. Not to mention create a music video per each!!

Anyway. Here’s “The Sheep and the Wolf”.

It’s probably my favourite from the album. Have a listen and let me know what you think.

Junior Chills – Wake Up World

Wake Up World

Following the 38 billion dollar military aid agreement between the US and Israel and the ongoing occupation and subjugation, discrimination and murder of Palestinians at the hands of the latter I decided to put a few thoughts into a new song called Wake Up World. I didn’t even try to hide the song behind an obscure title as I want to be as blunt and as forward as possible – Wake Up World. Wake up to what is happening in Palestine… can’t we see that Apartheid is here?

So this is the second of my protest songs about what is happening in Palestine right now.

I hope you like it.
